HOW EXACTLY does god communicate with or direct the GB?
by stuckinarut2 inwe're all familiar with the organisations claims (and have seen the flow diagrams in books and mags) that the gb is "directed by god".
in turn, the local elders are "directed by god".
so, how exactly do they suppose this happens?

Is the building a "tilt up" design like Patterson? the outside walls are concrete that is poured and then tilted up into place. This makes for extremely fast and commercial usage. The interior can be arranged according to use. Just wondering if anyone knows if the building is a concrete exterior wall construction. -

To Blue Dot or Not to Blue Dot. That is the question ....
by Oubliette inso i've been noticing recently that some khs in the area where i live (socal) are putting up the jw.org little blue dot, but others are not.
i would think this would be a mandatory directive from hq.
does anyone here have any intel on the matter?.

On announcing the presence of a sexual predator
by disposable hero of hypocrisy inthere's a lot of talk on here about changes the society must make, one of them being the announcing of sexual predators in the congregation.
i agree.
but do any other organizations do the same?

When sex offenders in the US are off parole they are like all others.They no longer have parole sanctions to not be with children. It is true that laws have changed for some offenders to lifetime parole! That might be different. I'm not up on that business. It would be wise to inform the congregation by individual conversations and not announcements. Telephone, telegraph and what is it everyone? yes, tell-a-witness. But all parents should be advised without a doubt. Once its out there will be no need for an announcement. -

An 86 year old witness since the 1940s told me that they are using tablets in service and were receiving instruction on how to use them for the "Tract Campaign" last year. I asked what do you do if you don't have an iPhone or a tablet? She said, I guess you just go along and listen. It occurred to me that her day had passed and that the newest form of "phonograph" had made her faith obsolete, if not her as well. -

When I was a drone I was entranced by the meetings and as an MS/ELDER I was absorbed in making them more interesting. I guess I was enjoying it because I was "the show". Once the BS meter kicked in I dreaded meetings and it wasn't long before I stopped going. I couldn't get through them. Enough was enough. I implemented a Flash Fade. Did I just coin a new label? I did a FF not a DOF.
FF = Flash Fade - as opposed to a -
DOF = Drawn Out Fade

What to do about wife and elders
by Crazyguy init seams like every time i turn around i find out that the elders are trying to meet with one of my kids or are talking with them about things and of course my wife is instigating it.
if i say anything to my children she mentions something and they come running.
one of the ms's is also studying with them as well.

Pull the "spiritual head" card. No man or organization may take your place when it comes to your child's spirituality. You are in charge and they may not usurp your wishes. Put your foot down. Then study the "Commentary on the Book of James" with them. Good principles and easy on the 1914 crap. There, I said it. Lol. Good luck.
